What we process, why we process it and — most importantly — what we chose not to collect.
1. Data controller
The data controller is Riccardo Marino, creator and operator of Sai che Boh?. For privacy-related requests, you can use the contact details published on riccardomarino.com.
2. Data we process
Sai che Boh? does not require registration and does not create user profiles. During normal browsing, the systems that deliver the site may process technical data required for Internet communication, such as IP address, request date and time, requested URL and browser technical information. These data may appear in server or hosting-provider technical logs.
For internal quiz statistics, the site uses a minimal first-party analytics system. The analytics table stores only the event type, quiz slug, language, optional final result and timestamp. It does not store IP addresses, user agents, user or session identifiers, fingerprints, answers to individual questions or personal browsing histories.
3. Purposes and legal bases
- Site operation and security: technical processing strictly necessary to provide requested pages, maintain security and diagnose failures. The legal basis is providing the service requested by the user and, where applicable, the controller’s legitimate interest in site security and reliable operation.
- Aggregate quiz statistics: measuring quiz views, starts, completions, final results, shares and card downloads through minimised data without persistent identifiers, in order to understand content performance and improve the service.
- Administration area: the /admin/ section uses a technical session required to authenticate the administrator. It is not intended for ordinary site users.
4. First-party analytics
Sai che Boh? analytics is operated directly on the site and does not use Google Analytics or third-party advertising SDKs. It does not use analytics cookies, localStorage, fingerprinting or persistent identifiers.
Analytics events are retained for up to 12 months; older events are automatically deleted.
5. Cookies and local storage
The public area does not set profiling or analytics cookies. The administration-area session cookie is a technical cookie required for authentication and is relevant only to people accessing that restricted area.

6. Hosting and recipients
The site is hosted on hosting infrastructure. The provider may process technical connection data and logs in order to deliver the service, protect security, prevent abuse and comply with legal obligations. Data are accessible only to parties that need them for their respective functions.
Sai che Boh? does not sell personal data and does not use quiz data for behavioural advertising.
7. Social sharing
Share buttons do not embed social SDKs that automatically track a visit. When a user voluntarily chooses to share a result, the selected service or the device sharing function is opened. From that point onward, data processing is governed by the rules and privacy information of the platform chosen by the user.
8. Retention
Analytics events are retained for up to 12 months. Technical server logs are retained according to hosting-provider settings and for as long as needed for security, diagnostics, abuse prevention and legal obligations. They are not intentionally retained longer than necessary for those purposes.
9. Data-subject rights
Where provided by Regulation (EU) 2016/679, data subjects may request access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection and, where applicable, data portability. They may also lodge a complaint with the Italian Data Protection Authority.
Because Sai che Boh? does not create accounts or associate analytics events with personal identifiers, it may not be technically possible to link a specific analytics event to a particular individual.
10. Children
The quizzes are entertainment content and do not require a name, email address, date of birth or other personal data. The site does not build profiles of children and does not use behavioural advertising.
11. Changes to this policy
This notice may be updated when the site, its features or applicable requirements change. The version published on this page is the version currently in force.
